Time To Belt One Out

The Camry has been looking good, but not sounding near as well.  Normally when I do an engine swap, a timing belt job is part of the install. When I did this one, I skipped a lot of these preventive maintenance items. I didn’t want to wrap up a bunch of money in an engine of unknown condition. Now it starting to bite me in the ass.  No the car didn’t break down, but there has been a bearing noise from the engine that was getting worse.

Well, problem solved.  The idler bearing was the culprit, and now things are quite again.  At least until we start moving.  The wheel bearings are up next.
