The original bed design was made for the back seats to be intact. The bottoms had to be removed but would fit under the far back portion. The seat backs had to be installed for the bed to rest on. For this round I wanted to work on more storage.
With the back seat fully removed I leveled the bed using some clamps.
I then built out a storage area. Not pictured is a bracket up front that bolts this in place of the center seat bolts. It is bolted to the original rear portion via a couple of “L” brackets. Hopefully with this and the fact that we don’t have to carry the back seat bottoms we will have enough space to make set up and tear down quicker at night when we are camping.
The final upgrade was a gym mat to see if that would make things more comfortable.
